Thankfully, there weren't inexpensive CNC routers available back when I was 25. I most definitely would bought one, quit my job, and moved to the middle of nowhere to become a maker-hermit. I've always been fascinated with the reproducibility and customization enabled by CNC. After settling down and starting a family, I have procured a basement CNC and have access to a professional one at the studio. Here are a few of the more recent builds/designs. I must give kudos to the designers over at Shaper Origin for figuring out this wonderful bizarro-lamination technique and inspiring 90% of the chair seen below.
